 Cafeteria Policy: Weapons Strictly Forbidden!

This notice was posted in the cafeteria shortly after the liberation in 1945. It served as a reminder to all employees that it was strictly forbidden to demonstrate weapons anywhere on the premises.

June 6. 1945, one month after liberation.

Message from the operations office.

Due to recent events, it is emphasized that all demonstrations of firearms in the cafeteria, as well as in other premises at the company, are strictly prohibited.

It is only a month after liberation; hence, energy and high spirits abound. Having access to weapons (well, actually producing them) might have given some the idea that it would be cool to brandish them in the cafeteria. It is not known if one especially raucous demonstration was the reason for this order. It could have been general caution from the management.
