Even though the Danish army produced their own Madsen (with some exceptions) the DIS version sometimes turned up on the army shooting range. Either as a comparison to the armies own version of the Madsen gun or as one of the DIS models used by the army. The army diary from the shooting range testifies to one of these trials.
This diary entry from February 1926 states:
Shot 150 Grade I with D. R. S rekylgevær (Eng=Dansk Riffel Syndikat recoil rifle) against rotating target.
[ The number 150 refers to number of bullets].
