Ingolf was part of the official Danish representation at the inauguration of the harbor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below you see Ingolf in all its glory. The wonderful photo is from the \u201carchive of Falster Egnshistoriske arkiv\u201d. The little boy with his bicycle is probably admiring the two Madsen automatic guns in AA mount that are visible on deck. Source: Falsters Egnshistoriske Arkiv.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bendt Friis was part of the crew when \u2018Ingolf\u2019 visited Belgium, Portugal, Azoreres og Newfoundland in 1934, on its way to Greenland. He wrote several articles of this voyage in Danish Newspapers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Saturday 19 May the Mayors of Setubal and a number of other guests were invited for dinner on board Ingolf. A number of Danish representatives attended the lunch. A representative of DIS was also present, lieutenant Colonel Troels-Smith was in Portugal, as it was the intention to demonstrate the Madsen machine guns for the Portuguese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apparently the demonstration and lunch was a success!
