The Danish Veteran MC community has a strong interest for Danish produced bikes and a couple of authors have treated the history and production of the DISA MC from 1948\u20131956.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DIS produced a 125 ccm an a 150 ccm but other designs and applications were considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"442\" src=\"https:\/\/madsenbyhansen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Krak_motorcykel_1957-768x442-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-170\" srcset=\"https:\/\/madsenbyhansen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Krak_motorcykel_1957-768x442-1.jpg 768w, https:\/\/madsenbyhansen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Krak_motorcykel_1957-768x442-1-300x173.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Comersial: Herning Auto selling Disa and other motorcycles.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the history is fairly well known and a lot of details are to be found in existing literature, will it still be possible to add anything new! Well, maybe a few details have been overlooked?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the MC history from 1948 and onward can be found in the existing literature it not widely known that the first idea of producing DIS MC was aired in 1931. I have only been able to find one short sentence mentioning this project, but investigations are ongoing. But, I must admit that I have followed this clue for several years and nothing new has emerged! ANY clues are appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"529\" src=\"https:\/\/madsenbyhansen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/KRAK_1957_sygevogne-768x529-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-171\" srcset=\"https:\/\/madsenbyhansen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/KRAK_1957_sygevogne-768x529-1.jpg 768w, https:\/\/madsenbyhansen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/KRAK_1957_sygevogne-768x529-1-300x207.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">comersial for wheelchairs.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A very unique application for the motor of the DIS MC was considered in the 1950s. Then Director Paul Aage Cort Binzer was approached and urged to consider equipping a wheelchair with a MC motor. Thus producing a motorized wheelchair. Several other companies were considered and we must assume that Fisker &amp; Nielsen (producer of the NIMBUS MC) was one of these companies. It was still decided to approach DIS and urge them to produce the motorized wheelchair.
