I will give the word to DIS when describing the workings of this mount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Control of the guiding system<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The control of the guiding system is affected through an eccentric in the main bearing of the mounting. With a view to permitting that the mounting \u2013 after having been attached to the selected supporting point \u2013 could be turned to a special transport-position, or to permitting more than one gunner position on the same vehicle, the eccentric could be released and turned to the position which will involve controlled guidance of the mounting in relation to the selected gunner position(s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a view to relieving the guiding devices of the mounting of undesirable strain during transport, the mounting is provided with a special \u2018transport-lock\u2019 which, firstly locks the two arms in such a manner that mutual turning is prevented and, secondly, locks the mounting in its entirety, thus preventing rotation about the fixed pivot. When the mounting is in its transport-position, the weapon could be placed on the mounting, ready for firing, and with the ammunition bag attached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Installation of pivot bearing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pivot bearing is fastened to the supporting structure by means of 4 screws (a). As is seen from the figures the pivot bearing as such contains no movable parts. The framework of the stand forms the manhole.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The pivot pin (b) constituting the fixed pivoting point of the mounting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The locking plate (C) with the<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>notches (d) and (e), serving for locking of the guide-system eccentric in transport position and firing position respectively<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The locking plate (C) is detachable and could be replaced by another plate with other locking notches, corresponding to the requirements in connection with another vehicle.
